I started playing tennis as a 7 year old, just hitting a ball against a wall with my dad’s racket that was way too big for me. I was already hooked on it. I got heavily into competition from an early age playing tournaments at county, regional and national level. Throughout my junior years I represented Warwickshire and the West Midlands and always qualified for the national junior championships at in every age group.

Tennis became a huge influence in my life taking me from King Edwards to boarding school in Sevenoaks, where I took my A levels and trained intensively, and then to America where I did a BA degree in psychology and played division 1 university tennis.

After university I channelled my passion for tennis into teaching. I have been teaching tennis for almost 20 years and have helped to develop players of all ages and abilities from those just starting out to those competing internationally. I love helping children and adults who are competitive and determined to keep improving in order to play better and win more.

I am an LTA Level 4 qualified coach who started playing tennis with my Dad aged 11. I was very quickly involved in matches and tournaments which led me to representing Staffordshire at County Level. Tennis has always been a big part of my life and I have now been coaching for 25 years.

I coach both juniors and adults from beginner to team level and enjoy watching people achieve their goals and reach their potential.

I am a qualified and accredited LTA coach with a BSc degree in Sports Science and Management. I have over 10 years experience which has involved working with a range of abilities and ages, from beginners and juniors to coaching adult groups and individuals.

I am highly experienced in working with schools and junior teams, as well as adults and have coached all across the Birmingham area at Boldmere, Penns, Springfield and Holford Drive clubs whilst also expanding my skills in Australia.

I started playing tennis at my local club on the tennis wall they had and from there my interest in tennis just got bigger.
My passion for tennis increased, both playing and watching.

I am an LTA Level 3 qualified coach and have been coaching at Streetly for 6 years.  I provide individual lessons to players at all levels from beginners to intermediate and advanced.

As a coach I enjoy nothing more than working with players who really want to improve their game and keep pushing forwards with their tennis.

As a player, I have played division 1 tennis in Birmingham and Staffordshire leagues , which has given me great experience to pass on to the players I work with .

Dan has been playing tennis since he was 10 and competed from an early age. He trained at some amazing academies such as the Nick Bollettieri Academy and the Sergi Bruguera & Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy.He achieved an ATP singles ranking and more recently reached the UK Number 1 ranking and World No. 11 for Men's 35. He represented Great Britain in the World Championships where they finished 4th.  Dan is an RTP and LTA level 3 coach with over 10 years experience and is very enthusiastic about teaching tennis to all ages and abilities to help them achieve their goals.

In 2019 he became Sutton Coldfield Sports personality of the year.
